A new vehicle is usually better than a used one, but this does not have to hold true in every single case. Used vans offer many of the same amenities as newer models, but they are at a smaller price tag and present less depreciation on the investment. This is why buying a used van is worth consideration. Let us take a look at the Ford Freestar for example. This van started to appear in 2004 with a new styling and new features. It came in a single body length which was similar to the likes of Toyota and Dodge at that time. It has a capacity of seven passengers and two second-row bucket seats. There is also a third-row bench which can be folded into the floor. Power operation is available for sliding side doors. For this model of used van, two choices of engine are available: a 3.9 litre V6 with a 193 horsepower and a 4.2 litre V6 with horsepower of 201. In the case of all models a four speed automatic is the sole transmission. All safety standards are at a good level and include antiskid control, curtain side airbags and security sensors. On board entertainment is, however, limited to a DVD system only. All in all, it seems to be a good used van if one needs goods and people transportation at the same time.
